Good July 29 morning.  Summer has brought not only heat waves to Spokane but lots of art activities.  I've been fortunate to be in a few shows and have had mega fun with my prayer flags.

Winter - January Indoor Activities - DIY and Prayer Flag Project

A sunny snowy morning today in Spokane - "Tis Himself and I put together a couple of DIY storage units and we are still living together.  That is a good thing.  I also baked 4 pies for a VFW fund raiser, heard this evening one bid was $20, now that's the way to raise money.

Working on getting prayer flags or intention flags ready for Spring Shows.  A wonderful way to use lots of color and varies objects to make your heart smile.

Seeking Out Opportunities For My Art Within The Avenues of Recycle and Upcycle

Christmas season is truly here and I've been busily preparing for holiday retail placement and Christmas shows.  I've concentrated on my newest project of salvaging discarded art objects and reinventing them with Gesso and Watercolor Ground.  The process begins with the hunt for appropriate objects usually purchased from Goodwill, Salvation Army and Yard Sales.  Generally these items are just discards with slight imperfections.  After the original art, print, ink, etc., is covered I set out to create my original watercolors based on the object and how where it may be used with a potential customer's home art collection.  I challenge myself to think outside my normal art style and create for a vast audience.  So let the holiday shopping season continue...........

Sweet Angels

Never knowing where Angels pass their time,

I am safe just knowing when I need one she'll be with me. 

There are many angels in heaven that I share with family and friends

keeping us all safe and quite aware of their smiles and warmth on our hearts.

Be aware that your guardian angel makes life more comfortable as we pass the time.

My Autumn Palette

Fall comes not clad in gray but like a seasoned champion in shades of aurelian, crimson and bronze. The winds and rain rustle through the dripping branches and all the brilliant tints of scarlet and gold change to hues of umber.  Oh, but the Pines still fragrant and verdant let me        know it is time to prepare my palette with deep ruby, copper and magenta for the sharing of our      thankful time together and the glory of the Christ season.  Art allows the sharing of love for all       seasons.  Ginny Brennan, Watercolor Artist (ginnybrennan.com)
