Watercolor Lavender on Repurposed Basket

I purchased the plant basket from the Goodwill. Covered over the metal front with Daniel Smith's Watercolor Grounded. Waited 72 hours and then was able to use my watercolor paints to create the lavender bundle on the metal front.  Finished off with outdoor acrylic sealer and will plant a small lavender plant for hanging on my repurposed galvanized screen fencing.

Outdoor Acrylic Art on Repurposed Round Metal Tray

We've just begun building our screen fencing (repurposed old galvanized roofing material and treated wood posts) to that I'm going to add my repurposed art items (taking salvaged items and painting with acrylic and outdoor acrylic spray to hang for our enjoyment and our neighbor's too, inside the screens and outside the Screens. More on the fencing and art to follow.

Celebrating Spring

Our beautiful WA Hawthorne Tree was heavy with berries and since it is a tree I was not familiar with until we moved into our home, I kept wondering when the berries would fall.  So with this past Fall, it lost all of it's leaves, then the snow came and it was still vibrant with the beautiful orange berries.  Then one day I was so surprised when several  beautiful Nuthatch spent two days feasting on all the berries.  They were amazingly chubby by the end of the two day feast.  What a celebration that I will look forward to next year.
